Visitors guide to Gangotri

Majestically located in the beautiful hills of Garhwal in state of Uttarakhand, Gangotri is a place which one must visit at least once in their lifetime. This Shivling is supposed to be a natural one and is believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva Received Goddess Ganga from heaven and took her into his matted locks.  The Shivling is visible during the winters when the water levels go down in the Ganges.
